Three schoolgirls, who had been missing from Friday afternoon, were recovered from the Liaquatabad area of Karachi on Sunday.
The girls, students of class 9 in a private school in Saudabad area, did not return home from school and were believed to be kidnapped.
“The girls were recovered with help of Citizens-Police Liaison Committee from a home of one of three detained boys, using a modern technology,” said senior police officer, not specifying what the technology is.
“No harm has been done to girls, they left on their own,” he added.
The senior officer also said that there are some lessons for society and the parents in this particular case, which would be addressed in a press conference on Monday.
Earlier, the relatives raised suspicions about the involvement of three boys. The police had detained them for interrogation.
